Cardio and Respiratory Medicine (CaRM) covers all cardiovascular, respiratory and related research in Cambridge. CaRM PIs and Associate PIs are based in the new Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart and Lung Research Institute (HLRI).
The Section of Cardio and Respiratory Medicine (CaRM) unites expert groups in cardiovascular and respiratory research.
CaRM research also extends into BHF Cambridge Centre for Cardiovascular Research Excellence (BHF CRE) and NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre Cardiovascular and Respiratory Theme (NIHR BRC)
We also work closely with clinicians at Addenbrooke’s and Papworth hospitals. Our research community is expanding with the re-location of Papworth hospital and AstraZeneca global headquarters and R&D facilities to Cambridge and the opening of a dedicated Heart & Lung Research Institute (HLRI).
