Ondrej obtained his MD with summa cum laude and Dean’s Award from Charles University in Prague. He won several competitive scholarships to complete his first-class MSc in Integrated Immunology (University of Oxford) and MPhil in Translational Medicine & Therapeutics (University of Cambridge). During his Academic Clinical Fellowship in Prof Ken Smith’s lab (Cambridge), he was studying antigen-specific B cells and their role in patients stratification in ANCA-associated vasculitis.
Currently, Ondrej is working as a Nephrology Registrar at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Wellcome PhD Clinical Fellow, focusing on the role of tissue-resident B cells. Apart from B cells, he is passionate about surfing and global health.
